On the month of October, we celebrate breast cancer awareness. We usually hear about this disease as a women disease but people rarely talk or realize that men can get it too. Even though only one in every 1,000 men will be diagnosed with breast cancer, you should be aware.  Even though that is less common for a man to get breast cancer; mortally in men is higher than women. Why? Well, since we don’t talk much about the issue, men are less likely to think that a lump on their nipple might be related to breast cancer therefore the diagnoses can be delay even for breast cancer treatment. Symptoms are similar to the women’s however is important to know that discovering one of these in our body doesn’t necessary mean that you have breast cancer. That is why is really important to know your physical appearance so when you notice something unusual you can consult your doctor right away.
