This week began Pride Month, by the whole month of June LGBTQ+ community come together to celebrate, commemorate, recognize and bring awareness to rest of the world. This June we embrace our fellows who are part of the pride society to commemorate Stonewall Riots back in 1969. Equality is something has to be active all year long; however, June is the month to take pride to raise awareness and rise our voices to peacefully demand the human rights everyone is intitle to have no matter the gender, religion, race, sexual orientation, political or social economic status. We have come a long way since the beginning of the Stonewall riots, but there is a lot road ahead. There are still injustices, discriminations, segregation and attitudes that are impatient to evolve and be deconstructed to be reborn in social conduct like a simple matter of love and respectful act. I know is almost unbelievable to think that many members of the LGBTQ+ don’t get the opportunity of health care due their sexual orientation and gender identity. Even today in 2021 we can see several health care providers denying this right over discrimination and patients avoiding the treatment based on past bad experiences.
